2021 Ford EcoSport
The compact Ford EcoSport provides drivers with a sporty vehicle that's easy to drive, will fit in small spaces, and comes with the latest tech features. For the 2021 model year, the EcoSport gains two new exterior paint colors, new 17-inch wheels, and a new SE Appearance Package. You'll also notice some small exterior styling updates. Inside, a six-way power-adjustable driver's seat now comes standard in the SES and Titanium, and the SE and above get a cargo cover and package tray. Take a look at the 2021 Ford EcoSport.
Trim Levels
The entry-level EcoSport is the S. It comes with 16-inch alloy wheels and automatic headlights. The SE trim adds LED running lights, fog lights, body-color exterior accents, rear privacy glass, roof rails, and a sunroof. It also adds upgrades in the cabin and offers the option for the SE Appearance Package with 17-inch alloy wheels.
Step up to the SES trim for 17-inch wheels, a rear spoiler, heated side exterior mirrors, and a sporty tuned suspension. The sporty SES also has black exterior trim elements. The top-level Titanium has 17-inch wheels, and it adds chrome exterior trim, metallic accents in the bumper, and heated exterior mirrors.
Engine (Power)
Power for the S, SE, and Titanium comes from a 1.0-liter three-cylinder gas engine that produces 123 horsepower. The SES bumps up the power with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine delivering 166 horsepower, which is available as an option for the other three trims. Both engines use a six-speed automatic transmission. The EcoSport's base model comes with front-wheel drive, while the SES trim with the 2.0-liter engine comes only with all-wheel drive. If you want all-wheel drive with the S, SE, and Titanium, opt for the 2.0-liter engine.
Performance
The EcoSport's small size combined with its responsive steering system makes it one of the easiest compact SUVs for maneuvering around town and squeezng into tight spots. When properly equipped, it can tow up to 2,000 pounds.
Interior
Features such as cruise control, a tilt-and-telescopong steering wheel, and air conditioning, all come standard with the EcoSport. Heated front seats along with a power-adjustable driver's seat come in the SE, and you'll get leather upholstery in the Titanium. An 8-inch touch-screen display and Ford's SYNC 3 infotainment system come standard in the SE and above, and all models have a Wi-Fi hot spot. The SE and above also have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and satellite radio, while bumping up to the Titanium trim gets you a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen stereo system with HD radio.
Safety Features
Every EcoSport model has a rearview camera, integrated blind-spot mirrors, and the Ford MyKey parental control system. Add the Convenience Package to the SE for a blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert, which comes standard with the SES and Titanium. For the 2021 model year, Ford added the SOS Post-Crash Alert System to every EcoSport. This system will turn on the hazard lights, sound the horn, and unlock the doors after an accident to help emergency responders find you and the vehicle.
