All told, the Expedition can take up to eight passengers along on your travels. With 2nd-row captain’s chairs, there’s room for seven people and a little extra comfort in that middle row.

Ford Expedition Gas Mileage  

Drivers rarely choose large SUVs for their fuel economy. However, the Ford Expedition has an ace up its sleeve with its EcoBoost® V6 engine. It comes standard with Auto Start-Stop Technology, a feature that can help save fuel when your vehicle is at a stop.

How does it work? Simple: When you brake fully at a traffic light or stop sign, the engine will shut down automatically. Release the brakes when you’re ready to move, and the engine will roar back to life!

Ford Expedition Towing Capacity

Built to tow heavy loads, the Ford Expedition uses a high-strength steel frame and aluminum-alloy body for power and stability. When properly equipped, this SUV can tow more than 9,000 pounds. Hitch up a boat and tow safely on the open roads—or take that camping trailer up steep inclines.

Available Ford Co-Pilot360™ safety technology includes Pro Trailer Backup Assist™. Need to go in reverse with a trailer in tow? Simply turn the dashboard knob in the direction you want to move.

Ford Expedition MAX

When you stretch adventure to its limits, you can stretch your SUV as well. The Ford Expedition MAX is nearly a foot longer than the normal Expedition and can carry roughly 17 more cubic feet of gear. Take even more along for the ride and max out your passenger space, too.

The Expedition MAX has more headroom in the third row and larger rear door openings. With both rear rows folded flat, it can carry 4x8-foot sheets of plywood with the liftgate closed.
