Ford Explorer XLT

The Ford Explorer XLT may be the base trim level, but it offers a surprising number of standard features.

The Explorer Limited also sees an upgraded sound system. The B&O Sound System by Bang & Olufsen uses 12 well-placed speakers to deliver an audio experience you’ll love on the road.

Ford Explorer ST

The Ford Explorer ST is a sportier way to drive. This trim level makes style the center of its appeal. From the black exterior styling elements to the perforated leather seats with ST logos, it truly makes its mark. A twin-panel moonroof is also included.

Did we mention this trim level comes standard with a 400-horsepower engine? The 3.0L EcoBoost® V6 is the definition of thrilling, with twin turbochargers responsible for its incredible output.

Ford Explorer Platinum

The Ford Explorer Platinum feels most like a luxury SUV. This top-tier trim offers every feature you could want in a vehicle. The SYNC® 3 infotainment system gets an optional 10.1-inch vertical touchscreen. The screen offers split-screen displays as well as swipe and pinch-to-zoom capabilities.

Intelligent 4WD (four-wheel drive) is standard on the Explorer Platinum, as is the Class III Trailer Tow Package. This SUV can tow up to 5,600 pounds—a major improvement over the previous year’s model.
