It only makes sense that a car called the EcoSport would feature an EcoBoost® engine under the hood. Ford’s signature line of turbocharged engines with direct injection are known for delivering reliable power in any circumstance. For a little more pep, this model is also available with a 2.0L Ti-VCT, and you can also get Intelligent 4-wheel drive (4WD) for improved handling.

For improved efficiency, Ford offers EcoSport models equipped with Auto Start-Stop Technology. This system will shut down your engine in certain situations, like when you’re waiting at a red light, and then instantly engage it again when you take your foot off the brake. You can turn the function on and off with the push of a button. The EcoSport posts an EPA-estimated 27 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.

Technology

The new EcoSport is jampacked with other technology, too, like SYNC 3®, the latest infotainment system from Ford. Compatible with both Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, SYNC 3 augments your driving experience with enhanced voice recognition and an 8” touchscreen with swipe and pinch-to-zoom interface. This feature also offers support for other popular apps like Alexa and Waze.

Safety

It wouldn’t be a Ford if it didn’t have your best interest in mind. Available features like the Blind Spot Information System and a Reverse Sensing System give you greater awareness on the road.
